First birthday

The photos say it all.

Daddy and Mummy thank God everyday for you, for being such a joyous child and showering us with your laughter, hugs, kisses, waves, and cheeky smiles.

We waited so long for you and you were so beautiful, so perfect when we first saw you on 1.5.12, 4.10am. Now we know why you wouldn't let us catch a glimpse of your face during the scans. You want to save the best surprise just for Daddy and Mummy on your birth.  You cheeky monkey.  :)

Apart from the initial few months trying to get you to sleep, you've been such a darling in all aspects. Our prayers were answered,  you are an easy baby. Our precious baby.

We've witnessed so many of your firsts.. and we know there's so much more to come( when are you taking that first step???) , and Daddy and Mummy pray we will be with you when all that happens.  To watch you grow into a loving toddler, an obedient child, a God loving teen and becoming a woman who longs after God's heart in all you do.  We love you child.  We really really do.

First fall

My dear Phoebe

Mummy didn't want to post this initially.. don't want to be reminded of such a scary experience.

As the title tells, you had your first bad fall, from mummy's arms.  We were taking group photos after your cake cutting,  but guess it was past your nap time and you were wiggling to get out.  Mummy lost my hold for just a second and you fell garden on the driveway. The image of you lying there and then wailing your lungs out from pain was simply too hard to recall.

You cried to sleep and we thought you were OK, but you woke up with such a swollen eye that we rushed you to the gp and got referred to the maters emergency room.

Thank God both doctors checked you and gave you the all clear.  It was the scariest moment seeing your face covered in blood and bruises...

And Mummy pray you will be safe and free from injury from now on. Mummy can handle a little cut or bruise,  but I pray that it will be nothing that a band aid can't handle.

Mummy's sorry to letting you fall, and promise I'll hold you tight from now.

Love you darling..

First manja day

My darling had your first manja day today. So sticky to Mummy and didn't want anyone else, not even Daddy.

Mummy is happy that you want mummy so much, but you are only allowed to be manja once in a while OK? Especially when we go back to the family in two weeks,  you need to be a little darling and show your love to everyone else...

And mummy laughed so much today playing with you. You bring us so much joy and it's our prayer that you will always be joyful and bring joy to everyone around you.

Love you my little cheeky monkey.. or should I say bunny? :)

Who bit my baby :(

Mummy cried so hard just now after I saw bite marks on your leg. Mummy  knows it's common for children to bite,  but it hurts to know my baby is on the bitten end.

Mummy will speak to Auntie tomorrow and hope you don't get bitten again. Mummy and Daddy know you are good natured and will probably forget about it. But the marks looks so deep that I know it must have hurt.

Mummy pray that God will send His angels to watch over you, be your guardian and bodyguard every.single  moment.

Love you darling...

Playing on your own

It's so exciting to see you learn so many things within such a short time.  Daddy and Mummy look at you while you were fast asleep one night and realised you are our big baby gal now.  From a tiny infant when we first brought you home, you can now play on your own with anything you can find.

Your most recent likes?  Chairs and drawers. And you can now take your first baby steps when we hold you by your hands. It's always funny to see you "escaping" from your room and pondering at the hallway to look for Daddy and Mummy.  :)

You now love songs. Any songs or singing always makes you smile - your griny 6-teeth smile now. The best thing is, you can clap along with us now!  That's a big big feat for you and we are so proud.

We know it's a blessing to see you grow strong and healthy everyday. To do the things you are doing now. Many parents don't get this simple blessing. So we thank God everyday for you. and for your every little achievement.

Love you darling.

First crawl & First Sit & First Pull-Up & First Feed

This post is long overdue. Mummy had been so busy over the last few weeks with work, christmas,  your little illness and now Mummy's sick too...that Mummy had no time to post this.  :(

Well,  it had been the most amazing one month so far. You've mastered crawling and many times Daddy and Mummy caught u trying to escape from your room. :)

You now know how to sit up on your own. It's such a joy to see you sitting up, then pulling your leg out from your bottom if it gets stuck. And when Mummy says yeah,  you happily laugh back.

Daddy and mummy had to lower your bed as you can pull yourself up from sitting position to kneeling. We think you would be standing up soon! So exciting!

And your second little tooth is out,  with signs of the top 2 coming out too. This will really help when you're feeding yourself right?  You did well over the last 2 days with papaya and bananas. Daddy couldn't bear to see the mess you made,  but you were clearly enjoying yourself. Mummy will have to think of more finger food for you!

You've been very busy my dear!
