First birthday

The photos say it all.

Daddy and Mummy thank God everyday for you, for being such a joyous child and showering us with your laughter, hugs, kisses, waves, and cheeky smiles.

We waited so long for you and you were so beautiful, so perfect when we first saw you on 1.5.12, 4.10am. Now we know why you wouldn't let us catch a glimpse of your face during the scans. You want to save the best surprise just for Daddy and Mummy on your birth.  You cheeky monkey.  :)

Apart from the initial few months trying to get you to sleep, you've been such a darling in all aspects. Our prayers were answered,  you are an easy baby. Our precious baby.

We've witnessed so many of your firsts.. and we know there's so much more to come( when are you taking that first step???) , and Daddy and Mummy pray we will be with you when all that happens.  To watch you grow into a loving toddler, an obedient child, a God loving teen and becoming a woman who longs after God's heart in all you do.  We love you child.  We really really do.

First fall

My dear Phoebe

Mummy didn't want to post this initially.. don't want to be reminded of such a scary experience.

As the title tells, you had your first bad fall, from mummy's arms.  We were taking group photos after your cake cutting,  but guess it was past your nap time and you were wiggling to get out.  Mummy lost my hold for just a second and you fell garden on the driveway. The image of you lying there and then wailing your lungs out from pain was simply too hard to recall.

You cried to sleep and we thought you were OK, but you woke up with such a swollen eye that we rushed you to the gp and got referred to the maters emergency room.

Thank God both doctors checked you and gave you the all clear.  It was the scariest moment seeing your face covered in blood and bruises...

And Mummy pray you will be safe and free from injury from now on. Mummy can handle a little cut or bruise,  but I pray that it will be nothing that a band aid can't handle.

Mummy's sorry to letting you fall, and promise I'll hold you tight from now.

Love you darling..
